Before the second world war, this is what Steglitz (a Berlin borough) looked like. The houses are mostly demolished because of the Stadtautobahn. In the background you can see das Rathaus (town hall) Steglitz.
I found this picture. It shows allmost the same view.
I like the picture beacause of the little details in it. The man waiting for the train in the left corner. The "forsigt" sign, The name Lindeman on the housefront, the horse drawn cariage, The Ewald Buck-sign... The more you look at it, the more you see.
